Who Are We?

  • Five active community members with over 50 years experience in banking, lending, investing, community activism, business ownership, mental health counseling, fundraising, sales and marketing.
  • We motivate, encourage, mentor and provide participants information to be successful. We share resource information such as:
  • Craven Community College’s Small Business Center
  • NC Works
  • First Flight Credit Union
  • Peace Counselling Center
  • Namowicz Marketing Group
  • Craven Resource Council

The mission of the Community Lending Fund is to lend microloans, $50.-$250.00, to unbanked and underserved entrepreneurs, requiring no collateral, where borrowers attend weekly repayment sessions with group discussions to build self-sufficiency which improves community development and capacity building.
